The Tayvallich Shop is open 9 to 6 Monday to Saturday and 10-5 Sundays, closing for lunch 1-2 each day. The shop stocks a huge range of fresh and frozen goods along with BBQ stuff, kids games, fishing gear, newspapers and a good range of wines and beers and of course whisky.
Downstairs on the waterfront the Tayvallich Coffee Shop is open 9 til 5 Monday to Saturday and 10-5 Sundays serving breakfasts, yummy cakes, scones, slices and meals all made on the premises.
Breakfast is available until 11.30 each day. You could join skipper Nicol in phoning in your breakfast order before you arrive on 01546 870 281.
Lunch is served 12ish to 4ish with specialities including haggis rarebit and a scallop, bacon & hollandaise sauce 'buttie'. Freshly ground coffee comes from Edinburgh tea & coffee company.
Showers are available too.
Barnluasgan information centre is just off the Tayvallich road. It's the starting point for a visit to Dubh Loch. There you can see the first Scottish beavers for 400 years. scottishbeavers.org.uk has more information and directions.
